Our Story
Coastal Ballet of Florida is a nonprofit professional ballet company specializing in classical ballet repertoire, alongside innovative and original neo-classical works. We are committed to providing high-quality productions for the Tampa Bay community and present a variety of captivating main stage productions as well as educational outreach programs and performances. At Coastal Ballet we aim to nurture and cultivate a greater appreciation for the art of ballet and make this beautiful art form accessible to a wider audience.
Recognizing the need for a dedicated classical ballet company that Tampa can be proud of, Heather Mills Ossola and Lauren Ben Yaaqov realized a long time dream and co founded Coastal Ballet of Florida Inc. in 2024.
Our Mission
Coastal Ballet’s mission is to educate and enhance our community through the performing arts by establishing Tampa’s own professional classical ballet company and pre-professional training program. We are committed to inspire, educate, and enrich our community by presenting exceptional dance performances and offering young aspiring dancers high-quality training and performance opportunities.
