Coastal Ballet of Florida believes everyone should have access to high-quality ballet performances and education. That's why we’re passionate about giving back to the Tampa Bay community by bringing ballet directly to those who may not have the opportunity to visit a theater. Community Outreach Highlights
SENSORY-FRIENDLY MAGIC
At Coastal Ballet of Florida, we believe in using our art to uplift, connect, and give back. This season, our dancers were honored to perform a special interactive program at Great Explorations Children’s Museum
during their "Sensory-Friendly Day"—a time set aside for children with special needs to explore in a calm and welcoming environment. Bringing the joy of ballet to new audiences in such a meaningful setting was a highlight of our year.
GRACE FOR GENERATIONS
We also had the joy of sharing our art with the senior community this season through two special outreach performances—one at Mease Life in Dunedin and another during a winter celebration at a local retirement center. These intimate events gave our dancers the chance to connect with older adults through movement, music, and storytelling, bringing warmth, beauty, and a sense of connection to residents and staff alike.
RUNWAY FOR A CAUSE
We were proud to support the Clearwater Marine Aquarium by participating in their recent fundraising fashion event, Oceania Couture, where our dancers modeled sea-themed gowns created by Clearwater Vice Mayor Lina Teixeira. This special benefit performance supported the Aquarium’s mission of marine rescue, rehabilitation, and education. Engaging with our community is core to our mission—and we’re just getting started. We were honored to join
Clearwater’s vibrant creative community in support of marine life and conservation. Art connects us—and helps protect what we love.
