Caroline Richey
Caroline originally grew up as a competitive gymnast, training at gyms across the country as she moved with a military family. After competing regionally, and winning titles such as 1st all around she was encouraged to pursue dance because of her strong floor routine. Beginning a new chapter at the Greater San Antonio Academy of Ballet she received excellent attention from Carol Tang and Jose Gonzales. Progressing in ballet quickly she participated in YAGP in 2017 with a variation and contemporary piece. Additionally Caroline had a successful competitive dance season winning first place titles as well as Miss Teen Starbound and Miss Teen Bravo. At age seventeen Caroline relocated to Florida and joined Steps School of Dance where her dance skills were truly refined. Under the direction
of Lauren Ben Yaaqov and Heather Mills Ossola, she competed at YAGP in 2019 with both classical and contemporary peices. Later in 2021, she would star in Steps yearly production of the Lion King as Scar, utilizing a variety of styles including her gymnastics skills. After joining the pre professional ballet program, Steps Ensemble, she was given emence opportunities in their annual Nutcracker. Caroline performed as a featured artist during her time with the Ensemble performing principle roles such as Arabian Coffee and The Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker as well as the Black Swan from Swan Lake and Blue Bird from Sleeping Beauty. Caroline is extremely excited for her first year dancing under Coastal Ballet of Florida.
